A Doric Analytique
An Analytique is drawing that tells the whole story of a building. They are imagined as a single page composition that is a successful study of all the elements necessary to understand a given proposal. Often it is an elevation drawing surrounded by enlarged details, floor plans and sections. This was a fundamental way of studying architecture and expressing ideas at the École des Beaux-Arts and a tradition still taught at the University of Notre Dame.
This Doric Analytique is from my first semester at Notre Dame, since being taught this method it has become a key part to most all of my projects.
